Overview

The use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) can minimize exposure to harmful situations at work. PPE must be properly used to maximize personal protection. This course teaches how to identify and use multiple types of PPE, covering the span of the entire body. You will also learn the safety responsibilities of employers and employees. Finally, you will learn how to conduct a hazard assessment.

By the end of this course, you will be able to

  • Explain how the Hierarchy of Controls minimizes hazard exposure
  • Identify various uses of PPE
  • Detail how to use specific PPE to protect eyes, face, ears, feet, legs, hands, arms, body, hearing, and respiratory system
