OS-SAF-101 Introduction to Safety

Overview

Every worker deserves a safe working environment. Therefore, OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration) was established. This course teaches OSHA standards and explains why following these standards will help keep you and those you work with safe. In addition, you will learn how to prepare for an emergency in order to protect yourself and others.

By the end of this course, you will be able to

• Describe OSHA's role in workplace safety
• List the steps of an OSHA inspection
• Explain OSHA guidelines that prevent citations and penalties
• Determine how to prevent workplace violence and identify substance abuse
• Create an emergency plan
• Understand where to find first-aid training
