Course Description

The Equal Employment Opportunity Commission enforces certain federal laws against discrimination in the workplace. Understanding the role of the EEOC will help you prevent or respond to discriminatory practices at your workplace.

By the end of this course, you will be able to:

  • Describe the role of the EEOC
  • List the work situations covered by the anti-discrimination laws enforced by the EEOC
  • Define different types of workplace discrimination, including discrimination based on age, national origin, race, or sex
  • Define harassment
  • Define retaliation
  • Describe the process for filing a charge of discrimination with the EEOC
