OS-GEO-101 Basic Geometry

Overview

Geometry is used in manufacturing, construction, and other industries. Understanding geometry will make it easier to design products, cut components to the correct length, lay out a work area, and perform other tasks.

By the end of this course, you will be able to

• Describe points, lines, line segments, rays, and planes
• Define and measure angles
• Define lines, including intersecting and parallel lines
• Describe polygons
• Calculate the area of a polygon
• Classify triangles based on their angles and sides
• Calculate the area of a triangle
