Overview

Wires in an airplane may need to be attached to the structure or the equipment, or they may need to be joined together. In this course, you will learn about terminals and splices, and how to attach them to wires so wire bundles can be installed correctly.

By the end of this course, you will be able to

• List the parts of a terminal and a splice
• Select the correct size terminal or splice for different sizes of wires
• List the parts of a terminal crimping tool
• Select a terminal, prepare the wires, and crimp the terminal onto the wires
• Select a pre-insulated splice, prepare the wires, and crimp the splice onto the wires
