Overview

United States federal law makes it illegal to discriminate against people because of specific characteristics. This course discusses workplace discrimination and the role of the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) in enforcing anti-discrimination laws.

By the end of this course, you will be able to

• Define different types of workplace discrimination, including discrimination based on age, national origin, race, or sex
• Describe the role of the EEOC
• List the work situations covered by the anti-discrimination laws enforced by the EEOC
• Describe the process for filing a charge of discrimination with the EEOC
