Overview

Composite products are everywhere in our daily lives. This course introduces you to composite products and the industries in which they are used. It also introduces the types of materials used to make composite products, such as fibers and resins. You will also learn about the advantages and disadvantages of composite products and the hazards associated with composite materials.

By the end of this course, you will be able to

• Understand the history of composites
• List the industries that use composite materials
• Describe products made from composite materials
• Explain some of the advantages and disadvantages of composites
• Identify and explain the safety hazards associated with composites
